GAFA 2027 is an international Conference on Geometric and Functional Analysis, organized in partnership with the Clay Mathematics Institute.
The conference will take place on August 24–27, 2027, in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The conference brings together researchers working in functional analysis, geometric analysis and differential geometry. These areas are closely connected, and many problems in one of them are naturally approached with methods coming from the others. The aim of the conference is to bring experts from these fields together, to exchange ideas and methods, and to encourage new collaborations.

Leading experts in these fields are invited to give plenary and invited lectures, including survey talks bridging functional and geometric analysis, and to share interesting and important open problems.

Participants can apply to give contributed talks, and an effort will be made to give everybody an opportunity to present their work. Dedicated sessions will be organized for early-career researchers and graduate students.

A special feature of the conference will be thematic sessions dedicated to the anniversaries of two mathematicians whose work has had a strong impact on the mathematical community of Kazakhstan: Professor Erlan Nursultanov (Kazakhstan Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Astana), known for his contributions to functional analysis, and Professor Alexey Bolsinov (Loughborough University, UK, and Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, Almaty), known for his work in differential geometry and geometric analysis.
