We are pleased to announce the GAFA 2027 – Conference on Geometric and Functional Analysis, which will bring together researchers working in functional analysis, geometric analysis, and differential geometry.

The conference is organized with the aim of fostering interaction between these closely connected areas of mathematics, encouraging the exchange of ideas, and promoting new collaborations. It will feature plenary and invited lectures by leading experts, survey talks bridging the two disciplines, contributed presentations, and dedicated sessions for early-career researchers and graduate students.

A special highlight of the conference will be thematic sessions celebrating the milestone anniversaries of two distinguished mathematicians whose work has had a profound impact on the mathematical community of Kazakhstan: Professor Erlan Nursultanov (L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana), a leading expert in functional analysis, and Professor Alexey Bolsinov (Loughborough University and the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, Almaty), internationally recognized for his contributions to differential geometry and geometric analysis.

Building on the long-standing tradition of functional analysis in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, as well as the growing interaction between functional and geometric analysis, GAFA 2027 aims to provide a vibrant forum for scientific exchange.

We look forward to welcoming researchers, young scientists, and students to GAFA 2027 for an inspiring week of mathematics, collaboration, and discussion.
